Odisha’s AgriStack Farmer Registry runs on the official portal odfr.agristack.gov.in. Farmers verify their identity with Aadhaar, claim land from the state’s Bhulekh record of rights (RoR), and receive a Farmer ID. Odisha was one of the fastest-growing registries in 2026: Farmer IDs rose about 42%, from 14,70,707 in March to 20,87,004 on 6 August 2026.

Odisha also features in the official AgriStack FAQ itself, which uses an Odisha example (“OD…”) to explain the format of Farm IDs and discusses how Odia-language land records are matched with English names. Both points matter for Odisha farmers, as this guide explains.

Check your RoR on Bhulekh first

Open Bhulekh Odisha and find your RoR by district, tahasil and village. Note:

  • the khata number and every plot number in it;
  • the owner (raiyat) name in Odia;
  • your share if the khata is held jointly.

Odia names and the name-match score

Land records in Odisha are in Odia, while Aadhaar data is often in English. The national FAQ addressed exactly this question from Odisha and explained that the matching tools, procured from C-DAC, can “transliterate Indian language script to English and compare”. So a correct name in Odia should still match your English Aadhaar name. Large differences, such as a missing surname or a different first name, can still lower the score and send the claim for manual checks.

Registering on ODFR

  1. Open odfr.agristack.gov.in, choose the farmer option and create an account with Aadhaar OTP, a mobile number and password.
  2. Log in and start registration. Review the Aadhaar details.
  3. Claim land: select district, tahasil and village, enter the plot number, choose your name in the owners list and add the plot.
  4. Verify all lands and review the name-match result.
  5. Give consent and e-Sign with Aadhaar OTP.
  6. Keep the enrolment number sent by SMS.

The general registration guide explains each step in detail.

Farm ID: the Odisha example

The official FAQ explains that every piece of land with a distinct ownership gets a Farm ID, a 14-character code starting with the state’s two letters. Its example is OD234567890123. Your Farmer ID is different: it identifies you, not the land. See Farm ID, Farmer ID and Land ID.

Farmer ID download in Odisha

Many Odisha farmers search for “Farmer ID download”. The national FAQ says whether a printed card is issued “is the decision of the State govt.”, and that states can create digitally verifiable credentials. After approval, log in to odfr.agristack.gov.in to see what your state portal offers. Do not pay anyone for a “Farmer ID card” printed outside official channels. See Farmer ID search and download.
