Tamil and English names

Your patta is in Tamil, while Aadhaar data is often in English. The national FAQ explains that the matching tools can transliterate Indian scripts to English before comparing. Initials are a particular issue in Tamil Nadu: many people write their father’s name as an initial in one record and in full in another. If your claim is not approved automatically, a revenue official will check it. See name mismatch.
